Frogs, Fishes and Crafty Things

For years I have had frogs living in my garden, even before I added a small pond last Autumn but that is raised and netted so they don't use it. They hop around amongst the plants and surprise me when I am weeding and when its very dry they sit in saucers of water I keep in the garden for hedgehogs and birds to drink from.

A couple of evenings ago I caught them both sitting together in one dish, the slightly smaller one likes to sit in the hollow under a brick and has made that its home, the larger one was visiting.

We had record breaking weather all Spring, record low rainfall and record high temperatures so gardening has taken up most of my time. At last I have the whole garden looking reasonable. Usually I get part done and then the weather is bad and by the time I get back outside the part I had worked on is overgrown again.

Progress of the baby goldfish. The little one that was causing concern died but the two surviving fishes will be five weeks old tomorrow and are growing well and seem to be quite tame, getting in the way while I'm cleaning them out.

I have had very little time or inclination for craft work but have finished off this wedding cake in the past week and listed it on ArtFire.

Today I visited HobbyCraft store. I really needed white Fimo but while there stocked up with many goodies - nothing like new tools and materials to set off the creative urge, I think shopping for craft supplies must be my Muse. With only routine maintenance work outside now I'm hoping to get more new items made to offer for sale and also make progress with my shop project "The Packet".
